Terms of Service
A quick, human explanation
GrazeAway is a platform — not a landowner, agent, or inspector.
We:
- Introduce people
- Provide tools and documentation
- Handle payments securely
We don’t:
- Inspect or approve land
- Decide suitability
- Guarantee outcomes
Hosts and renters are responsible for their own decisions.
GrazeAway’s role is to keep everything clear, recorded, and intentional.
Below is the standard summary of terms.
1. What GrazeAway Is
GrazeAway is an online marketplace that connects:
- Hosts – landowners with paddocks, grazing land, or stables to rent
- Renters – horse owners looking for somewhere suitable for their horse
We help you find each other, communicate clearly, and use simple payment tools.
But GrazeAway does not run the land, does not manage the horses, and is not a party to your agreement.
We provide the platform — you make the arrangements.
2. What GrazeAway Is Not
To keep things clear:
- GrazeAway does not inspect land or guarantees it is safe or suitable
- GrazeAway does not assess horse behaviour or welfare
- GrazeAway does not offer legal advice
- GrazeAway does not get involved in disputes between Hosts and Renters
- GrazeAway does not create or manage tenancies
Hosts and Renters make their own decisions about suitability, safety, and responsibilities.
3. Responsibilities of Hosts
If you list land or facilities on GrazeAway, you agree to:
- Accurately describe your paddock, fencing, water, access, and any rules
- Make sure the land and facilities you offer are safe and lawful
- Comply with local laws and responsibilities (including ragwort control)
- Have suitable insurance for letting horses on your land
- Be honest about drainage, hazards, winter use, and field condition
Renters rely on your listing, so clarity matters.
4. Responsibilities of Renters
If you place your horse on land found via GrazeAway, you agree to:
- Make sure your horse is healthy, disease-free, and passport-compliant
- Have appropriate public liability/horse owner insurance
- Check the land in person to ensure it's suitable
- Follow the Host's rules for turnout, poo-picking, field care, etc.
- Be responsible for any damage your horse causes
Your horse remains your responsibility at all times.
5. Equestrian Risk
Horses are wonderful — but unpredictable.
Grazing, turnout, and stabling all carry risks including injury, illness, escape, accidents, and field hazards.
By using GrazeAway, you accept these natural risks as part of equestrian life.
GrazeAway cannot be responsible for injury or damage to people, horses, or property.
6. Biosecurity
Diseases such as strangles, EHV, flu, and parasites can spread between horses.
Because GrazeAway does not inspect horses or land, we cannot guarantee a disease-free environment.
Hosts and Renters must discuss biosecurity and decide what's appropriate for them.
7. Accuracy of Listings
Hosts promise that their listings are truthful, up-to-date, and not misleading.
If something changes — fencing, water availability, hazards — Hosts must update their listing.
8. Payments
To keep bookings simple and secure, GrazeAway uses Stripe to process payments.
Payments may include:
- A Host subscription (for publishing listings)
- A Renter service fee for short-term bookings
- A finder's fee or first-month commission for long-term bookings
Full details are shown at checkout before you pay.
9. Disputes
If something goes wrong (e.g., damage, rule breaches, land use disagreements), the issue must be resolved directly between Host and Renter.
GrazeAway can offer tools — like check-in photos — but we do not mediate or handle claims.
10. Data & Privacy
We take your privacy seriously.
GrazeAway may use your information to:
- Run the platform
- Improve features and pricing guidance
- Produce anonymised insights about the equestrian market
We never sell personal data.
Read our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
11. Account Issues
We may suspend or close accounts that:
- Break rules
- Misuse the platform
- Put other users at risk
- Provide false information
You can delete your account at any time.
12. The Legal Version
This page summarises GrazeAway's Terms in plain English.
The full legal Terms of Service still apply and take priority if anything is unclear.

13. Thank You
GrazeAway was created by people who care about horses and want clearer, safer grazing arrangements for everyone.
If you have questions or suggestions, please get in touch — we're building this with the equestrian community, not just for it.
